"I wish for a Deus Ex Machina"
Suddenly, a giant wedge of cheese descended from the sky and landed in the tree directly outside of Jon's window. A door opened in it, and two small black heads poked out.
"Darn it," one of them said "We're travelling in the wrong dimension AGAIN! Honey, shift the car back up to fourth and let's go in reverse. I swear, we're going to see the Berlin Wall fall on this vacation if it's the last thing we do!"
The heads popped back into the cheese, and the two kids looked in shock as the sky appeared to have two lines going across it, like a VHS tape does when it's on pause. After a few moments, the entire world began moving backwards, except for a twenty-foot radius around the cheese. By the time the process was over, Jon and Karyn could see that the only portion of the house that remained was the section they now stood in. In fact, the whole neighborhood was a giant empty lot, aside from a piece of Jon's room.
As the cheese flew away, Jon and Karyn found themselves stuck in 1989, in the middle of nowhere. None of their problems would happen for almost another twenty years.
