Greta leaned back and looked up to the sun.

Sarah wondered if she had said something wrong, but before she could start to really worry Greta chuckled and turned to Sarah.

"Well, if I were Empress of the World, as you say-"

"Stop it!" David suddenly yelled, flipping himself over and throwing Jennifer off his crotch. He leaned on his side, his breasts jiggling rightways as the flimsy bikini couldn't deal with the gravitational shift. "I told you I am not interested!"

"Oi, dude, be nice," Wallace said dreamily. Karyn was running her hands over his back, sometimes scratching his hair.

"No, fuck that," David said, standing up. "I told her no and she kept going. There's being insistent, then there's pushing things."

"But I..." Jenni tried to interject but David threw his hands up in the air, lowering his head to not hear anything.

Dried sand that had been caked to his arms suddenly sprayed everywhere. Jenni ducked in time, Sarah quickly got her hands to her face, Greta frowned, feeling anger rising.

"No. I am leaving now," David huffed, brushed some of the sand off his body right onto the beach towel. "You coming, Wallace?"

Wallace looked torn, then turned around to look at Karyn, who gave him a delicious smile, and he looked at David with a shrug.

David huffed, and began stomping towards the beach bar

Sarah was trying to blink sand out of her eyes. She moved her hand closer to her eyes, but suddenly felt someone stop her.

"You'll make it worse if you rub," Greta said, authoritatively. "Need to wash it. Pass me some water, Karyn, was it?"

"It stings badly," Sarah complained, eyes closed tight as it was the least painful. She heard fumbling, some cursing, and then fingers pushing her head up.

"Open your eyes, I'll pour water on them," Greta said.

"But it stings if I open them!" Sarah's voice broke a little, a quiet, powerless voice.

"It'll be worse if we don't get the sand out. Now, open your eyes." The way Greta said the last words helped manifest an image of a commander in Sarah's mind. A woman in a starched red uniform with wide shoulders and a lot of medals, with a sabre on the side. It drove a thrill down her spine.

"Okay," Sarah whispered. She relaxed, and the hand guided her face up. She opened her eyes, and then felt the shock of the ice-cooled water dribble on her face in two waves. She started blinking hard, fast, and coughing a little.

"You okay?" Jenni said, quietly.

"Yeah..." Sarah pulled back, extending one arm to stop any more water from coming onto her. She blinked, blinked, eyes wide. "Yeah... no sand just... water now."

"Good," Greta said. "But let me check."

And suddenly the lifeguard's hands were on her face again, prying her eyelids apart and peering into Sarah's blue eyes. "Yep, clean." And then she patted the cheerleader's head and if Sarah were not already red from the sun someone would've called out her blush.

"Thanks," She said.

She looked around: the blanket had sand all over. Jenni was curled up in a ball in the corner, her massive boobs squeesed behind her knees. She looked like a scolded puppy. Wallace and Karyn had stopped their gropping and were trying to clean some of the sand off the cooler and their stuff.

And Greta was looking at her worryingly.

Sarah's eyes suddenly went wide. The Stone!

She jumped to her feet, "Fuck, I dropped it!" She cried, looking around the sand. It couldn't have been covered by sand already, could it?
