"I wish that Karyn and I could speak the local language, and I mean without forgetting English," Jennifer said.
"Do you feel any different?" Karyn asked.
"No. Do you?" Jennifer asked back.
"No. But we probably won't notice anything until we get back to the village," Karyn said. "Why did you wait so long to make that wish? We're already almost half-way to the temple. Now we have to walk all the way back," Karyn complained.
"Sorry," Jennifer said. "But I didn't think of it until now."
Karyn sighed, then said "Come on." And they walked back to the village.
When they arrived (twenty minutes later), they looked around at all the villagers.
"Well? Who should we talk to first?" Jennifer asked.
