Karyn recognized the frumpy green dress as belonging to Mrs. Finch, the librarian.
"Oh, Mrs. Finch I'm so sorry!" Karyn bent down to help her up, and was greeted by a familiar voice... a voice that didn't belong to Mrs. Finch.
"That's alright, dear. Just watch where you're going next time." When Mrs. Finch stood up, Karyn realized what exactly was wrong. Mrs. Finch had Jon's voice. And his face. In fact, Mrs. Finch was Jon! Or rather, Jon was standing there, wearing Mrs. Finch's green dress, and gawdy earrings, and oversized glasses.
"Jon! What happened?"
"Jon?" Jon said, "Oh, you mean that boy you're always cavorting with. Why, I don't believe I've seen him today. Well, you really should get to class." And without another word, Jon was walking off towards the library, without as much as a thought that he could be anybody other than Mrs. Finch. Another teacher in the hall even greeted him as such.
Karyn looked at the remote in her hand, beginning to realize what was going on.
