Karyn decided that she needed some more answers. She could just go over to Jon's and get the stone, but thought she'd try and get some answers from him first.
Karyn went to the performing arts room, a large room attached to the gym with equipment for the drama and dance programs at the school. She peeked in the window, and saw Jon, Sarah, and Steve, in their matching ballet outfits, warming up and stretching with the other girls in ballet as though they'd done it every day.
Karyn got Jon's attention and he excused himself and went to the door.
"What is it, Karyn?" Jon said, "We've got a lot to practice and Sarah and I are competing for the lead in 'The Nutcracker'."
"You mean the part of Clara?" Karyn asked.
"Of course. It is 'The Nutcracker' afterall. So what is it?"
"Look, Jon, how long have you been into this whole ballerina thing?"
"My whole life, Karyn. Don't you remember when I started taking lessons? I've always wanted to be a dancer."
Karyn realized she might be barking up the wrong tree. "Sorry to interrupt, Jon. I'll take care of this myself." With that, Karyn left Jon and decided to sneak carefully out of the school and go to Jon's house. She could excuse herself with the stone, once she found it.
