The Harlequin sat down on Jon's bed. "Ok. So, the only way to get back to normal is to get Jon's attention in a funny and ironic way, right? Right. I'm a jester, so that shouldn't be hard, right? Right. But, I hate cartoons, right? Right. So, I have . . ."
". . . Right. So, that's my plan, Mikey. Mikey?" She looked at the duck, but he was curled into a ball and snoring. Sheep jumped over his head.
"WAKE UP!!!!" She yelled. The sheep suddenly turned into alarm clocks ringing and Mikey got right up.
"Who? What? Where?" The duck looked around.
"Did you hear anything about my plan while you were asleep?"
"Uhhh, no."
The jester sighed, "Well, see, I'm going to . . ."
"Sister, make way for Professor Duck." Mikey suddenly had a chalkboard behind him and Karyn was suddenly wearing a Dunce cap.
"I fell asleep because you. Are. Boring." He quickly drew a picture of a Jester putting a crowd to sleep.
"Why did I get turned into a jester if I'm not funny?" Karyn moaned, "We're doomed. The whole world is doomed to an existence of mallet gags and wacky cartoon dogs because I'm not funny."
"Ahhhh, cheer up, toots." Mikey put his arm around the sad jester, "you still got me." The duck kissed her full on the lips and then bounced around the room. "Hoo Hoo! Hoo Hoo! Hoo Hoo! Hooo . . ." he looked at Karyn, "Hoooo?"
The harlequin's eyes were shaped like hearts. She got up and walked to a confused Mikey Duck, "Uhhh, this wasn't in the script."
"Forget the script. You said yourself my chasing Jon was a running gag, which means I'll never get him, anyway. But could you answer just one question?"
The duck gulped and pulled at his collar. "What, uh, question?"
"How do you kiss so good with a beak?" Before he could answer, Karyn kissed Mikey. It was more passionate than comical, which befitted the jester's character.
When Karyn pulled away, she breathlessly whispered, "Aaaoooogha."
