"What are you two going to do?" Zoe taunted the heroes, "I've got more power now in my pinky than you do in your whole bodies."
"I doubt that," Amazing Boy proclaimed, bringing down a fist toward Zoe. But she had barely made contact when a flash of light surged from the cheerleader, which sent Amazing Boy backwards and into a wall.
Zoe snickered, "Watch this!" She brought forward her hand and the smoky remains of the Demon began to cyclone towards her. They enveloped her, and when they passed, Zoe stood before Miss Amazing, not a cheerleader, but a Demon-Queen.
She was gray skinned, with long whip-like tail, horns, and huge claws on each hand. The Demoness grinned a toothy grin while smoke poured off her body.
"Great," Miss Amazing muttered. She knew her only hope was the stone. Miss A pulled it from its pouch and began to wish . . .
Zoe's yellow eyes arched in surprise. Miss Amazing had the stone! She lunged for it, hoping her speed could get her the stone before the heroine used it. But as she reached forward, she saw her hand morph back to a human hand, painted with pink nails.
Time slowed, and then Zoe felt something pulling her back. Pulling her away. She left her body and kept falling away, to who knows where. . . .
"Amazing Boy, are you all right?" The superheroine turned to her partner, who was getting up.
"I am so tired of being thrown around like a rag doll."
"Well, be prepared to be thrown around some more," The Queen said. She stood triumphantly, wearing her regal black costume, knee-high boots and checkered stockings and all.
"'Cause now, there's twooooooo!" The other queen said. Like the first queen, she was in costume, but it was white instead of black. But she vanished before her monologue could begin.
"Miss A, what . . ." Amazing Boy looked to her partner and saw the stone in her hand. "What did you do?"
The heroine walked forward and picked up two miniatures, "I didn't want to mess with them again, so I made them queens." She tossed them to Amazing Boy, who caught two chess pieces.
"Miss A, that's . . . You can't do that!" Miss Amazing looked at Zoe who was now in shock, and now blonde. She swallowed deeply. The heroine turned away and left the football field. Amazing Boy was in hot pursuit. "What are you going to do about your sister," he whispered.
"That's not my sister. That's a magically brainwashed sixteen year old that looks like my sister."
Amazing Boy grabbed her partner, "You're not thinking clearly, Miss A." She held up the two chess pieces, "Fix this."
"I wish my last wish only lasted two days. Happy, Amazing Boy?"
"Not particularly. What are you going to do now?"
"I'm going to find whoever is messing with Zoe, and I'm going to kill them."
"Miss Amazing, you can't "“" Amazing Boy grabbed his partner's arm, but Miss Amazing spun and hit him. The superhero was too stunned to do anything but watch his best friend walk away.
"Let. . . me . . . out!" Zoe paced inside her cell. She was walking hunched-over, like an animal.
"And let an unbound feral beast loose in my kingdom? No, I think not." The Lord of Terror sighed. "I had such high hopes for you, too. But you were always getting distracted by Miss Amazing."
The Demoness smiled then, "A . . . good shing. Miss Amaing ish the key. She's reason your kingdom so small."
"Doubtful. She doesn't even know I exist."
"Don't have to. She hash wishing shtone."
The Lord of Terror turned, "THE stone?"
The Demoness nodded, "What if Missh Amaing was created by shtone?"
"Then the world, including us, would think she had always been around. But in reality, she's only a few days old."
"Yukiro Taganoshi."
"Who?" The Lord of Terror said, waving a hand and allowing Zoe to return to her more advanced Demon form.
"She's a Japanese scientist living in Tampa Bay. According to the papers, she's also Mazinga. Surly you have enough power to affect a mortal to come to this city?"
"What if I do?"
"We'll see once and for all if Miss Amazing is nothing but a wish and the source of all your problems. . ."
