Jon instantly knew her powers. She had super-strength, super-speed, the ability to be where she was needed by sheer luck (Jon always wondered how superheroes could just run across crimes by coincidence when that hardly ever happens in real life), resistance to damage, and some minor powers including the ability to appear in costume or street clothes just by thinking about it. She also had her magic stone--while the stone really wasn't part of her superhero powers, there was no reason she couldn't use it to do superhero type stuff.

There was one power missing, though. The ability to fly.

Jon crashed into a garbage can head first.

She picked herself up and leaned against a wall to catch her breath--fortunately, her powers kept her dying instantly from the three story fall--and finally thought "Damn, I'm a girl. Oh well... I never said I want to be a girl, so I can reinterpret the wish by saying I want to be a male superhero."

Jon just needed to figure out the right way to word the wish.

But then Jon realized that she had no time for fixing wishes. There were people in danger and she had to save them!

Jon ran over to the daycare center at super-speed and began bringing the children out as fast as she could. Soon there was a slowly growing crowd of children in the street as the fire raged on.

Just a few seconds after Jon had gotten all the children out, the tanker exploded! Half the wall of the daycare center was destroyed and the building was burning. She knew she had come a few seconds away from the children being roasted or crushed or blasted to death.

Then Jon remembered something from one of the Superman movies. "Behold," she yelled. "My rebuild the wall with a glance vision." There was no such power, of course, but Jon muttered a quick wish, looked at the building, and magically it rebuilt itself in a few seconds. It was as if nothing had ever happened, if it wasn't for the huge chunks of tanker still strewn around.

"Wow!" said a bystander. Jon turned and saw it was Sarah McMillan. Uh-oh--what a lousy stroke of luck.

"I never thought I'd see something like... wait a minute. Oh, ha ha ha ha. You're Jon! That's an awfully good looking drag queen outfit. Wait until I tell all the cheerleaders!"

That was not good. Jon decided to make another wish. "I wish everyone else would accept me as being a girl." Sarah suddenly looked very confused and then said "You're Jonnie! I can't believe a nerd like you would do something cool like this."

Jon walked away satisfied, if a bit lacking in the secret identity department, until she realized her mistake. Jon would be accepted as a girl. Which meant that if she reworded the first wish so she could become male again, everyone would think of her male form as weird....

Jon would have to figure out a way around it later. In the meantime she would have to stay female. Jon willed away the costume and reappeared in normal clothes--or a female version, anyway.
