His escape was cut short by a locked metal gate barring his way to the exit. The sun was just coming up and by the lack of people, Jon surmised that the pool had not opened yet.
With nothing to do but wait, Jon made his way back to a lounge chair and sat down. His eyes fell on the clear surface of the water. His escape attempt had left him sweaty and the water looked inviting.
Deciding that he still had enough time for a quick swim, he approached the pool's edge. He was wearing a swimsuit after all even if it was not one we was used to.
He made his way slowly into the refreshing coolness. Jon had just reached the point where only his head was poking out of the water when he noticed something odd.
