"Oh," said Karyn. The wish worked; Karyn was completely convinced, even though Joan wasn't sure she was making any sense. After all, none of that really explained very well why "he" was eating lunch with Pete.
The next test happened the next morning. Jo(a)n was in her bed and, as usual, the alarm rang. She needed to get up, get dressed, eat, shower, and go to school.
Joan, just like she did as Jon, walked to the bathroom wearing only shorts.
Whereupon she was seen by her brother Mikey.
"Whoa..." said her younger brother. "You aren't Jon! You're a girl! What happened to Jon?"
