"No, no, no! This is all wrong!" Pete nearly yelled. "The stone made you like this. You're not supposed to be gay."
Jon and Karyn looked at him oddly. "What do you mean, Petey?" Jon asked.
"I mean I made a wish that turned you gay and I guess turned me gay too." He didn't want to admit it, but he did find himself attracted to Jon, as weird as that felt. Maybe there was a way to fix this, but then again, according to Jon's grandfather's letter, wishes couldn't be reversed. Although, they could be reinterpreted. Maybe if he ...
"That's ridiculous," Jon said, breaking Pete out of his thoughts. "Give me that," he said, grabbing the stone out of Pete's hand.
"Wait, what are you doing?"
"Making a wish, obviously. Ever since arriving at the mall, I've been thinking about the perfect wish to make." He turned and smiled at Pete, who (thanks to Pete's blunder of a wish) was his boyfriend. "And I think I've got it."
Pete didn't feel too good. Already his life had drastically changed, and not for the better. Who knew what kind of wish this new gay version of Jon would make?
"I wish ..." Jon started.
