Jon went running out of the library, hoping to catch Sarah before anything bad happened. That's when a headache burst through his mind. He quickly sat down and held his head in pain, not noticing his fingernails were now polished. But the searing pain left as quickly as it had come.
"Jan, are you all right?" Mary, one of the other librarians, asked.
"Yeah, it's just a headache." Jan put her glasses back on and smoothed her skirt.
"Ok. Well, I'm going to get lunch. Do you want anything?"
Jan shook her head. "I'm fine." Mary nodded and left the library. After a moment more of recovery, Jan stood up and inspected the library. Someone had left their stuff at a back table, thrown around like it had been hit by a tornado. The librarian shook her head, "Kids." She muttered.
Jan picked up the books and papers and put them back into the pack. But a library book caught her eye. It was titled 'The Stone of Genia,' yet oddly was classified non-fiction. Her interest perked up, and she walked back to the front desk and started reading.
Karyn lowered her hands and said, "It is done, Mistress, Jon will no longer bother you." But, she added in her mind, Jan the librarian might.
Sarah cackled. "Now, no one can help you, Genie. You're all mine." Karyn didn't need to, but she felt the urge to curtsy to her Mistress.
"You are my Mistress, I shall not want for another." The Genie said. She thought it was odd that when Jon was her master, Karyn never had the urge to call him master, nor curtsy to him, yet that was all she wanted to do for Sarah.
"Now, I'm going to have some fun. Genie, I wish that . . ."
