John wasn't man he used to be, there had been changes in both his personality, his wants, his dislikes, who he hung out with at school, and of course how much he wanted that sexy woman Karyn.
However, one thing he certainly was, was the owner of that rock and he knew the risks. He rushed forward before Karyn could make another silly wish, and pulled it out of her hand."
"Like, hey." Karyn gave a sexy pout, but looked about ready to cry. "I was like, gonna fix stuff."
John looked at the rock a moment, and then back at his girlfriend, "Okay, maybe you should tell me what you are trying to fix."
Karyn paused a moment, and Jon could tell she was trying to think about how to answer. Finally she shrugged, "I wished, and like, everything was like... different."
Jon looked around at his room, it seemed the same as normal. However, he wasn't stupid, he remembered the way in which the rock worked and knew full well that the rock probably had changed reality and because he hadn't heard the wish this reality might not be correct. That did his head in a little, trying to think about how anything could have changed. He remembered this reality being ... reality.
He thought back to the first time he found Karyn in his life. As a young girl she had been mostly tomboyish, however, as she grew up her body changed, becoming more feminine and certainly more girly. With her body changing as she grew her personality altered. She dropped her tomboy personality and became more feminine, more girly. Her desires and wants in life changed, even the boys she was started to see became older, more handsome.
It was the way that Karyn changed, and that fact that even back then he really loved her, that Jon altered the way he was living and exercised more, built himself up, even worked more at gym and getting into football. After that, Karyn and him just clicked.
How could anything in that be wrong, but more importantly, how could he want it to change back if it wasn't wrong. Could it be that he and Karyn were not together, or maybe he hadn't been in the football team?
He knew he should probably figure this out, he couldn't tell what had changed, and it could be anything bad.... but what if it was good, what if he learned his whole life wasn't right - would he really want to know that?
