As Karyn opened the door she noticed how different every on looked as all the boyettes were wearing bright colourful clothing where was the gals were just wearing similar clothes to what Karyn was wearing. She then noticed that Mrs Johnson looked a lot different as she now looked stronger. Her clothes had changed to and instead of a dark blue flowery blouse, she was now wearing a a white shirt with a red tie on. Her hair wasn’t that long as it was short and black now.
“Ah good to have you back Ms Black” said Mrs Johnson.
“Sorry I took so long Mrs Johnson.” Karyn said. Subtly she noticed that all of the class looked confused and some of them were laughing at what she said.
“Who’s this Johnson my name is Ms Joandaught.” Ms Joandaugt said sternly.
Karyn then realised that all the names must of changed for Gals to as she realised that no one would have their surname after a boyette.
She sat down in her desk and was looking at the posters which were on the wall. As the posters of prominent figures all looked a little bit different as you had Alexander the Great replace with Alexandre the great as well as a fat woman with a top hat who’s name was Winifrid Churchill. This was all so surreal for Karyn and couldn’t believe how different everything was as all she assumed was attitudes would change and nothing else. Ms Joandaught was talking to the class about the right to vote.
“As we all know back in the early 20th century Ladies didn’t have much power as fem held all the power but then things changed for the better.”
Karyn thought what the hell was a fem and also thought why do ladies still don’t have the vote even if they had all the power.
“But then in 1920 after years of fight fems gave ladies the right to vote and the rest they say is history.” Ms Joandaught said with pride with on the board a photo of a boyette looks like appearing to be what a lady is. This was all so confusing for Karyn.
Then the bell went as Karyn looked at her timetable it said she had Biology where they were learning about the body.
