Jon held the die between his fingers. It was one of the dice that had to do with... movies.
"Movies? What's that supposed to be?"
"Yeah. We'd all be living as though we were in the world created in that movie."
Karyn looked at him askance. "That's not really like everyone being the same, though."
"Maybe not, but they'll all be in the same fictional universe and so on. You can pick something else, if you don't want this."
"No, it's okay."
She looked at it. There was one movie on each side, six all together: "Star Wars", "Lord of the Rings", "Roger Rabbit", "Pleasantville", "The Truman Show" and "The Matrix"
"So, we'd be characters in these movies, or just us in their world?"
"We'd be us, but the that-world version of us. I'm prettty sure."
"Okay. Here I go, then." She rolled the die across the floor and it landed on...
