She rolled the die across the floor and it came up as ... angry.
They both looked at it then glanced up at each other.
"Wonderful!" she said sarcasticly. "Now we're gonna be angry all day."
"Well, it's your fault, you stupid bitch! Maybe if I rolled it, it would have come out as something better!"
"What did you call me?"
"A bitch. And that's what you are."
Karyn lunged toward Jon and tried to hit him, but missed and fell flat on her face. When she turned around, she was red in the face. It got redder when she saw the smirk on Jon's face. "What are you smiling at, you asshole?"
Jon lost his smirk. He bent over and grabbed Karyn's neck. He slowly squeezed it while saying "Never talk to me like that." There was a helplessness in Karyn's eyes that got to Jon. What am I doing? Am I trying to kill Karyn? he thought. He loosened his grip and that's when Karyn punched him.
She got up and stood over Jon, who was holding himself. "Karyn, stop," Jon pleaded.
"No way, you fuckin' asshole." He tried to get up, but when he did, she kicked him between the legs. Jon was down and in immense pain. Karyn smiled at him. Jon was getting angry again. It was hard to work against the magic die, but he tried anyway.
How was he going to convince Karyn to stop?
