I was awakened from my sleep with by a loud rumbling. When I opened my eyes I found myself lying on the cold metal floor of what looked like some sort of ship. A man ran to my side with what looked like horns growing out of his head.

"Are you alright, Kylon?" The man asked almost shouting against the rattling vibrations.

"I think... so." I say a little hesitantly, trying to understand my surroundings.

A few of the other crew members yell something out I don't pick up as the man stares at me with a serious expression. "Don't worry, we will get you to safety."

Before I can say anything, he rushes out of what I assume to be the command room.

Getting back into the seat from which I probably fell out of, I take this moment to gather my thoughts. Being thrust into a perilous situation means that I probably have less time to figure out how or why I am here. Tracing back my thoughts to the moment before I fell asleep, I recall something familiar. It takes me a few moment to realize why it seems so familiar and I almost scream out in exclamation. I'm inside my own story! The excitement quickly passes as I slowly begin to realize I don't remember half of what the story is or where it takes place. All I really remember is what kind of world I'm in. That realization sends a shiver down my spine as I recall that there's a massive war going on in this story. Holding on to the comfort that the story I wrote didn't just end abruptly, I calm my nerves and take another look at my surroundings.

The inside of the ship looks surprisingly normal, give or take a few parts that look a bit more futuristic. The ship could honestly pass for a typical cruise line were it not for the lack of windows and the holographic projections all over the place. The immediate impression I get when putting these facts together is that this is likely a space ship, though for some reason it just looks normal to me. Nothing really surprises me with its design or features which I decide is probably an inherited common sense of some sort. What I found more surprising was the fact that I could see names above people's heads as well as their allegiance to me. Unsurprisingly, many people had the word Ally displayed under their name while a few others seemed to be neutral or indifferent towards me. I became more relaxed as I started to feel more comfortable knowing that I was surrounded by allies.

"Captain!" A man yelled as he entered the room, his eyes reflected those of fear. "They've found us."

The captain smirked. "They're too late." He laughed. "We've made it to our goal." His face turns dead serious as he voice seems to echo around me. "All hands prepare to warp. This will be a bumpy ride."

I glance up at the projected screen, unsure by what he means. I recognize it as a wormhole of sorts, though it looks way more ominous and flat. I don't have time to fear though as the whole ship starts shaking violently and I have to brace myself against my seat to stop myself from falling out. The shaking only seems to increase as the time drags on with different sounds adding to the mix. Praying to my inner writer that I didn't make the main character injured after this, I feel one final jerk that throws me hard against my seat, causing me to pass out.
