As the die came to a stop, Jon and Karyn saw that it landed on the side for heeled shoes. They had to close their eyes for a moment as the wish worked its way, but a moment later they could see that they did indeed wear heeled shoes. Karyn's feet were now fitted into green, open-toed sandals while Jon's feet resided in plain red pumps.
"Well, this will get an interesting day. I don't know the least how to walk in such shoes." John said.
"Oh, come on!" Karyn retorted. "Your so called 'heeled shoes' have barely an inch in height, while mine are at least three inch!"
"Why are you getting so upset about this?"
"Sorry, it's nothing. You just don't know how uncomfortable those shoes can become if you have to stand on them for some time."
"Apology accepted. But now I'm really reliefed that my heels are so low."
"But you won't get the whole experience of high heels without aching feet after a long day of walking. Though that can be arranged for." Karyn said with a mischievous grin as she picked up the stone.
"Hey, what do you want to do with that?" Jon said somewhat worried.
"Oh, don't be afraid you big scaredy-cat" she replied. "I just want to make sure that you can relish your one day in pumps. I wish that all of Jon's shoes would gain an additional three inch to their heels."
Altough Jon couldn't see how his shoes changed, he surely could feel them grow while they pushed his feet into an arch. As soon as he could look down again, he noticed that he still wore the same red pumps, but now they had four inch long heels.
Still looking at his feet bewildered, he asked Karyn, "Why did you to this?"
"I already told you why.", she answered with a grin. "You need those higher heels in order to really know what it means to walk in such ankle-breakers."
"Oh, so you think this is kinda funny? Well, two can play this game!" Jon grabbed the stone from his best friend's hands and said "I wish that the heels of Karyn's shoes were always one inch longer than the one's I've to wear."
Karyn felt the same sensation Jon had already undergone as her heels raised to five inch.
"Okay, maybe I deserved this." Karyn admitted. "But now tell me, how do you feel in your high heels?" she asked with a giggle.
"Well, it's a weird feeling I really can't describe. And I don't want to think about standing up because I'll surely fall flat on my nose if I try." Jon answered.
"Ah, but we soon have to leave for school. Or did you forget this little fact?"
"Damn, you're right! But we still have a little time left. So, what should we do?"
