"Why do we need to go to school today anyway?" asked Jon. "Why can't we just use the stone to wish that eveyone would think that we were at school today so that we could go around town to see the changes?"
"Why not?" said Karyn. "It's been a long time since I skipped school and with the stone, we wouldn't get in trouble."
"Good," said Jon, then made a wish. "I wish that everyone would remember that Karyn and I went to school today, anyone who sees us outside of school would not realize that we should be in school, our schoolwork would all be turned in on time and with good grades and we would gain all the knowledge that we would have learned had we stayed in school today." The stone flashed.
"Why the last part?" asked Karyn.
"That way," answered Jon, "If anyone asks us what we learned in school today or it comes up later in the year, we will be able to answer correctly and we won't look suspicious at all."
"Good thinking," said Karyn. "Now lets go see what's changed."
