"I don't see a door handle," hissed Jon, "and look, the hinges are on the top of the door, not on the sides. I think it just pushes open."
"How am I going to reach it? No hands, remember?"
"Just push it with your head, or your shoulder, or part of your, uh, tail," Jon suggested. "You're closer to it than I am."
"What about clothes? And who's gonna zip me up?" hissed Karyn.
"I have a feeling that nagas don't wear clothes," Jon hissed. "See, my closet, my dresser, and my pile of dirty underwear have all disappeared."
"Well, I hope you're right," Karyn hissed back. "Keep your eyes to yourself, though, you snake. Hmmm. Lemme see. OK, I can get closer to it. Closer... Closer..."
Karyn was somehow flexing her long snake tail in such a way that her head got closer and closer to the door. Jon, meanwhile, sensed the entirety of her sleek, slippery, and scaly thirty foot tail sliding against his. The sensation was exquisite and Jon discovered he did still have sex organs after all. Apparently, they just retracted when he wasn't aroused.
After just a few minutes of Karyn's writhing, Jon exploded in ecstasy. Karyn, however, seemed not to notice. She'd finally worked her way near enough to the door that she could push it open with her head. A moment later she'd stuck out her head, then her armless shoulders, then a few feet of her scaly tail. Then suddenly the rest of her slipped out all at once! Jon heard a big thump and the sound of Karyn hissing, "Ooof!"
Jon had no intention of staying in his room all day. Not only was it cramped, but Jon sincerely wanted to try slithering with Karyn again. Before leaving, however, he took care of some important business.
"Stone, I wish I knew whether I'm currently touching you," he hissed. Instantly he realized that part of his thirty-foot tail was, in fact, touching the stone. With that assured he hissed, "Stone, I wish you would move to a place that's inside my remaining human torso, that won't interfere with my body functions, that no one will notice, and that you'll stay there until I wish you out."
Jon felt a lump appear in his chest, then he, as Karyn had done, began working his way to the door. Then, when he got close enough, he stuck out his head and saw...
