"Karen, what's keeping you?" Jon asked. "We're gonna be, y'know, late and stuff for um, for, ummmm - that place we gotta go."

"How do you like it?" Karyn asked.

"Like what?"

"The way I look?" Karyn asked, showing off her new body.

Of course, Jon hadn't heard her wishes, so he didn't realize anything was different. "Well duh, Karyn!" he said. "You look like you always do!"

"Really?"

"Uh-huh."

"Oh pooh!" she pouted. "Like, the stupid rock didn't work!"

"What'd you wish for?"

"Oh, I wanted to be all real super sexy-looking and stuff. Here, you try it," she said, tossing Jon the rock.

"Okiedokie. Ummm - oh! I wish for whatever Karyn just wished for."

There was a flash, and when Karyn looked back, Jon was now a perfect duplicate of herself. "Oh wow, I guess it does work after all!"

"Karrrrryn!" Jon whined. "Like, I look just like you now! I don't wanna look just like you!"

"Well, duh! Wish ya didn't then!"

"I wish I didn't look just like Karyn!" There was the flash again. This time, Karyn saw that Jon's hair had gone from blonde and wavy back to being straight and black, Jon's cocktail dress was now silver instead of red, and Jon's face was different.

"How's that?"

"Well, I guess I am different, but something's still not right."

"Really? Like, what's wrong with it?"

"I dunno," Jon said, struggling to remember. "Well, I guess it'll come to me or somethin', I guess. Hmmm - hey wow!"

"What?"

"Like, we look really cute in these dresses!"

"I know! We're all, like, totally hot and stuff!"

Karyn and Jon spent a few minutes posing and primping in front of the mirror, completely absorbed with their new appearances. After a while, the door to the room opened. "Oopsie!" his mom giggled. "Hi Jordyn. Hi Karyn."

"Hi mom," Jon said. "Who's Jordyn?"

"Well you are, silly!"

"I am?"

"Well - I think you are. Umm, Karym, are you Karyn?"

"Uh-huh!"

"Oh good! Then you must be Jordyn, Jordyn!"

Jon/Jordyn decided her mom must be right - after all, if her mom had come to see Karyn and Jordyn, and Karyn was Karyn, she probably was Jordyn. "Okay then. I'm Jordyn."

"Well good. That settles that." With that, Jordyn's mom turned to go.

"Mom?"

"Huh?"

"Did you need something else?"

"Huh? Oh, ummmm, wait a sec, it'll come to me - oh, yeah. Um, I think it's time for school. Or did I mention that already?"

"School!" Karyn said. Oh wow! We keep forgetting that! We better go, Jordyn, or we're gonna be late an' everything."

"Yeah, OK. Like, thanks mom."

"Anytime, kids. Bye. I gotta go do something now. I think. Bye."

Jordyn watched her mother go back down the hall. She was dimly aware, in the back of her mind, that mom was still seemed to be acting kinda different. But then again, it was really hard to remember what she was usually acted like, so she wasn't going to worry about it.

"Jordyn?" Karyn asked. "What're we gonna do with the rock thingy at school?"

"Oh wow. I dunno, ummm - oh! I know!" Jordyn stuck the rock down the front of her dress, nestling it in her ample cleavage. "There," she giggled. "That oughta keep it safe!"

"I'll say!" Karyn laughed. Giggling and snorting, Jordyn and Karyn picked up their purses, again abandoning their backpacks, and left once more for school.
