She rolled the die and it came up as red-head hair.
Jon looked away as the stone flashed and looked back at Karyn.
"Huh." he said, "It didn't work!"
"What do you mean it didn't work?" asked Karyn.
"It didn't work! This doesn't make any sense. The rock flashed and I had to look away, but it didn't work!"
"Looks to me like it worked just fine Jon. I think you should look in the mirror."
When Jon looked in the mirror he was shocked. He saw Karyn's reflection with blonde hair, but his had changed to red! In the corner of his eye he saw that in the poster on his wall, Lebron James was also a redhead!
"Why aren't you changed? It just doesn't make any sense!"
"Are you really that dense Jon? Remember when I wished my hair blonde? The rock can't reverse wishes so I'm still stuck like this when everybody else is a redhead. Oh great, now I'm going to stick out like a sore thumb! The only blonde girl in town! Oh well, at least it is only for a day."
"Oh yeah, duh. That was stupid of me. We really can't reverse wishes, can we? I guess we better head to school then, see if everybody being a redhead makes any difference."
With that, Jon stuffed the rock in his backpack and the two headed off for school.
