Looking around at all the Goths was weird. It was like a black mass of people all jumbled together. Oh, there was some color here and there, but mainly it was black.
Jon looked down at his rare steak and thought No way am I eating this. He looked at a girl one table over. Some of the blood from the steak was dripping down the side of her mouth. It could have been grease for all she cared, but it wasn't. The sight of it kind of made Jon sick. But it seemed he was the only one that felt that way.
Jon went ahead and ate his potatoes and dessert, trying to hide the fact that he hadn't eaten his main course. When he was done, Karyn joined him. She was, apparently, one of the last ones in line.
She sat down and leaned over to whisper in his ear. "Can you believe this steak?"
Jon could only laugh. At least someone agreed with him.
After lunch, Karyn and Jon went back to their classes, which were the same, except that they didn't have any gym classes.
