Two people from his gym class. One was a boy who always wore a black and blue headband on his head. The other was a boy who wore a green scarf around his head covering his face. He did not know there names off the top of his head, but they were good at the sports that they played. He tried to listen in on what they were talking about. The boy with the green scarf around his face spoke first.
"Hey Zine, what do you think about that gossip that Karyn girl was saying. Something about a rock that grants wishes or something like that. Do you think that it could be what we are looking for, you know for your grandfather?"
The boy with the headband then spoke angerly to the boy with the scarf. "I told you that the rock could be anywhere by now. He said that some lunatic took it from him when he went to the war. Sure he was carless with it, but to have the thing taken by the grandfather of that wimp John. I could just see what that idiot is doing with it. He's probably off somewhere invisable listening in on an important conversation."
John could not belive this guy, calling him a wimp. He would show him, because he had the rock. He brought the rock up to his mouth and wispered a wish into it. "I wish that Zine was a bigger wimp than he sees me."
The rock glowed but there was no change in the boy in front of him. Then it hit him, the rock took his wish literaly and since he could not see him then the wish had no effect on him. Zine looked around him and smiled. "Fortune smiles on us Gyro, the rock is neer. My grandpa may have been carless but he was smart. He made a wish that I would be able to scence when a wish was made. I just felt a little bit of power come from the rock. Nothing is changed so the with must have been cancelled by another wish. Go get Red and Black and meet me back in here. Will get that rock back and then it will be in our hands again!"
Gyro walked out, and as he was leaving turned to Zine and said,"Just because I'm green does not meen that you can push me around blue. I'll get the others and come back but I want more respect from you."
When he left Zine sat on the floor and seemed to meditate. After a few minutes the stone glowed a little and Zine opened his eyes and stood up. "It's close, really close but I can't tell where."
John decided to make a wish to get out without Zine noticeing him. He wispered into the rock, "I wish...."
