Meanwhile, back at Karyn's house.
Allison smiled as she tossed the wishing stone up and down in her hand. "Now, what should I do with you?"
Karyn inched back from Allison. "Please don't erase my memory like you did to Jon."
"I didn't erase his memory. I just made him think the stone was just a dream." She walked to the window and saw Jon walking back home a distance away. "Thanks to you, Jon now knows that the stone is real and not just a dream. Too bad he didn't use the phrase. I would have liked to see what you would have turned into." Apparently, the phrase "the crow flies by tonight" was a trigger for changing Karyn into something else. That's why she didn't want Jon to say it. And she didn't tell him anything about the stone being real, because Allison said she would use the stone on her if she told.
Karyn had to find a way to get that stone back, and to stop Allison from playing these games with her and Jon.
But, at the moment, Allison was about to make a wish. "I wish ..."
