Karyn looked at what was written on the paper. Slowly, she read, "Because Jon was the last one to make a wish to rewind time, removing his memories of the events that led up to that point will result in delineated event sequencing conflicts."

Karyn blinked. Result in what? "I wish I knew what that meant..."

Although this time she didn't bother with the piece of paper, Karyn suddenly understood the message that was printed there. "Oh, okay. So even if you didn't have the memories, you would re-experience them as you went through this time, because they're happening to you at the same time in those other timelines..." Jon only gave Karyn a forlorn look, something that said something along the lines of 'I already know something bad is about to happen...' "In other words, you'd just keep having Deja'vu until you passed that point... ugh, but that doesn't help us any right now!"

While Jon continued to rock back and forth, obviously not dealing with his current memories very well, Karyn thought hard on how to help ease his suffering...

"Okay, let's try this. I wish that the answer to the question I'm about to ask would appear on this piece of paper. If I were to wish that the memories of rewound events that Jon has were to be seperated from his normal memories, as if they were of a movie rather than something that had happened to him, personally, would they continue to... trouble him?"

And the magic piece of paper said...
