Throughout the day and night, Eric and Keith "tested" the stone. But not the kind of testing Jon meant. They wished for this, they wished for that. Nothing too big and extravagant, but just to see if the stone really did work and wasn't a put-on by Jon.
It was real, all right.
And by about five o'clock the next morning, they had decided to move onto something bigger. Jon didn't realize it, but Eric and Keith were going to make him their newest experiment.
First, they wished that there would be an invisible camera in Jon's bedroom that connected to one of their TV's in their lab.
Nothing happened.
"I wish I knew what happened!" said Keith.
A voice rung out. "Before he gave you the stone, Jon had wished that until he gets the stone back, it can't affect anything outside the lab. He didn't want you using it to make wishes about him."
"Well, that sucks," said Eric. "But maybe, we could..."
