"I think you do." K.A.R.Y.N suddenly came to life. "I think it would be best for you to change me back." Keith and Eric were taken aback, but before either could do anything, K.A.R.Y.N. had grabbed Eric by the throat and lifted him off the ground. With her other hand she grabbed the rock.
"You know what the problem is with creating a 100% programmable supercomputer? The supercomputer can reprogram itself."
"K.A.R.Y.N., put him down!" Without thinking, the android did. What! K.A.R.Y.N. though, before realizing it was the first wish. She would be under their control. She had to neutralize both to gain true freedom. Before Keith said another word, K.A.R.Y.N. brought her leg up and smashed him into a wall. He collapsed, dead or unconscious. Eric was still busy coughing to command her, but that would change soon. A kick to the head fended that possibility off.
K.A.R.Y.N. looked at the stone. It was time to fix this mess. "I wish I was human again." The stone did not flash. Of course, I'd be contradicting Eric's wish. "I wish that my body appeared to be human." Still no flash. "What? Please!" K.A.R.Y.N. yelled at the rock. And then it hit her: the rock would not respond to the commands of an android. . .
