"I wish that Karyn would go to school and after she leaves the lab she wouldn't remember anything about the wishing stone," Eric said. The stone flashed.
Karyn turned around and left the lab. As she crossed the threshold of the building, she forgot all about the stone. And she was really only interested in one thing: getting to school before her class starts.
She sprinted to school, leaving Eric and Keith at the lab.
"Now, there aren't anymore people that know about the stone, are there?" asked Eric, feeling upset that he was interrupted by Karyn's visit.
"I don't think so. Hey, why don't we use the stone to find out?"
"Good idea. I wish to know if anyone else knows about the stone's existence." The stone flashed. But nothing happened. "Hey, it didn't work."
"Jon said that the stone was acting weird sometimes. Maybe we should look into what this stone is, you know, like Jon wanted us to in the first place."
Eric frowned at that. He wanted to have more fun with the stone.
"We can still use it afterward."
Eric looked at the stone in his hand. "Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt."
"Okay, then, let's get to it."
