"I don't know who to pick for a girlfriend..." said Keith.
"Hold on, Karyn," answered Eric. "Karyn, we have to talk in private."
"Aww..." she said. "When you're finished, I'll be waiting for you." She walked to the other side of the lab and Eric moved closer to Keith so he could lower his voice.
"It doesn't matter," said Eric. "Just do it."
"Yeah, but... I'm worried. Maybe we should have experimented a little more. Because wishes are permanent, right? Suppose some day you don't want Karyn to be your girlfriend. Well, she is and you can't stop her."
Eric grinned. "We'll save that for the future. There's always a way around wishes. Besides if I prefer a different girlfriend I can change her to fit my preference."
"If you say so...."
"If you don't know who to be your girlfriend, Keith, pick Jon. We can make him a girl, just like we did Bruce. You're 21, he's 18, that's close enough that you don't need to mess with ages."
"Hmm. Okay... I wish that last week Jon helped us test out a machine and the machine had an accident, changing him into an attractive girl. I wish that since he can't change back, he decided to try to get used to being a girl. I wish that as part of getting used to being a girl, he became my girlfriend and is willing to act as my girlfriend, including having sex with me. In fact, I wish that if I propose to him he will agree to marry me. I wish that despite all that he will never completely stop thinking of himself as a guy."
"I don't know, I'd have just wished for him to be my girlfriend."
"But then he'd be completely different, Eric. I mean, look at Brooke, it hardly matters that she used to be Bruce. We didn't need to transform him to get a girl that's nothing like the guy she replaces--we could just as well have fired him and hired someone else. If my girlfriend is going to be Jon, she has to remember being Jon."
Just then the door opened. In walked Jon, or rather a girl that looked like Jon. She had grown her hair out longer and she had nice breasts showing through her blouse.
"Hi, Jon," said Keith, smiling.
"Hi."
"Second thoughts?" said Keith.
"Well, a little, but forget about it, okay? I have to adjust to being a girl and you said you'd help me with it. Even if it feels strange to have you kiss me, how else am I going to get used to it?"
Keith smiled and started to make out with Jon.
