Jon continued along his path, though where he was headed was murkier than it had been before. Part of him thought he was headed home to quickly get changed out of this weird outfit. Another part... well, it was hard to tell what the other part of him expected. In any case, he was determined to get there quickly now. Timely and on time. It felt important, both to minimize incident, and for a vague sense of professionalism. Though where that second part came from Jon couldn't say.

That conviction, as strong as it was, evaporated quickly when a passing jogger collided with a cart outside of a local bookstore, sending books tumbling across the sidewalk. Much to Jon's horror, the jogger did not stop to correct his error, and instead straightened up and went jogging off again, leaving the stand in disarray.

Aghast, Jon nearly shouted after the jogger, but instead merely gawked a moment, then looked back down at the cart. Books were sprawled out across the pavement. Used and rather beaten paperbacks, mostly, but certainly still perfectly good books, and not at all deserving to be scattered across the sidewalk like refuse. Almost automatically Jon bent down, picking some up books, and automatically placed them back on the shelf. Then he bent over again, retrieved a few more, replaced them as well. He really couldn't afford the delay, but someone had to step up.

Jon continued his task for the remaining books, barely registering as the skirt of his dress flipped up each time he bent over to retrieve more books to show his panties beneath. Laser focused as he was on his task, he didn't notice the breeze on his thighs and rear, blissfully unaware of the show he was putting on. What he did notice, once he had retrieved the last of the books, was that the cart of books was horribly out of order, with no organization to the titles, authors, or genres at all. Sighing to himself, and wondering for a moment why more people didn't hire on maids like whoever this Judy was, if they so clearly needed the service, Jon proceeded to begin rearranging the cart into a more sensible arrangement.
