As Jon put down the phone and got himself back under control, he realized he was still just wearing a bath towel.
"Uh, Zoe, will you leave? I have to change." Zoe promptly walked out of the room.
After she left, Jon took a moment to clear his head when he realized that his room had changed too. Most noticebly, it was all pink. From the walls to the carpeting to the drapes to the bedspread, everything was some shade of pink, from fuschia to hot pink.
And not only that, but his possessions had changed too. Various stuffed animals littered the room, posters of various boy bands (Or rather, girl bands)were on the walls, and instead of his videogames he found CD after CD of said girl bands and other teeny bopper music. He even had a vanity mirror and table filled with make up.
I can't believe I'd like this stuff, even the way I am now. He thought in disgust. But then, the more he thought about it, the more it made sense. Maybe the increased differences in the reversed sexes also meant that there was increased social pressure for guys, this reality's girls, to act, well, girly.
He had a lot of trouble maintaining calm as he walked over to his closet, knowing what he would find but dreading it anyway.
As expected, the closet was filled with dresses, skirts, and other formerly feminine articles of clothing, most of which were pink. A quick inspection of his dresser also revealed what were essentially panties (if somewhat differently structured to accomomadate his still male anatomy) and bras.
He had to choke back another sob of frustration (while absent mindedly wondering why he was so emotional suddenly) before he changed into the least feminine outfit he could find: a tight, blue, midriff bearing shirt and odd, likewise tight jeans that seemed specially constructed for his magically swollen figure. He didn't even bother with the numerous high heeled shoes and pumps that were also in his closet, preferring to go barefoot.
He was about to go to the living room to wait for Karyn when he spotted one thing that was consistent with his old life: his school biology book. Compelled by a sense of morbid curiosity, he opened it to the chapter on sexual reproduction. As he expected, after flipping through the chapter he found a passage describing how the testes produced vast amounts of estrogen and progesterone, causing the expression of "male" secondary sexual characteristics such as the storage of fat in the hips and buttocks and the development of the breasts.
It seems his mother's wish had really changed, well, just about everything. He only hoped he could figure out a way to circumvent the word "forever" when Karyn arrived
