"Hi, Mrs. Smith. Is Zoe around?" Karyn said. After all, when Jon got wished into pantyhose, Karyn would not remember that Jon existed. The only person who remembered was Jon's mother, since she heard the wish. Jon's room wouldn't exist, either.
Jon's mom was in her bedroom, putting on new clothes, to replace the ones she ruined with her spilled cereal.
"You're not looking for Jon?" She showed Karyn the stone. "Earlier I was talking with him, but then he just left. I found this on the floor, though." She showed Karyn the stone. "Is it Jon's?"
"Is it who's?"
"Jon's."
"Who's Jon, and why would he have your wishing stone?"
"My wishing stone?"
"You inherited it from your father! You showed it to me and Zoe."
"My father did die recently but I didn't inherit anything like that. I don't even know what you mean by a wishing stone." She handed it to Karyn. "Give this to Jon when you see him."
"But I don't know this Jon person!" Karyn looked at the stone. She decided she'd best play along; besides, maybe Zoe's mother's stone could be of some use.
She walked out of the room and then made a wish....
