"Hi, Mrs. Smith. Is Jon around? He wasn't in his room," Karyn said.
Jon's mom was in her bedroom, putting on new clothes, to replace the ones she ruined with her spilled cereal.
"I don't know. Earlier I was talking with him, but then he just left. I found this on the floor, though." She showed Karyn the stone. "Is it Jon's?"
"Yeah, it is. If I find him I can give it to him."
"Okay." She gave the stone to Karyn.
"Thanks, Mrs. Smith."
Walking into Jon's bedroom, Karyn said "I wish ..."
