After Jennifer hung up the phone, she thought about her date with Jason. As Jon, Jennifer had been on a date or two, but this was different. Jennifer was a girl now. Suddenly, it felt weird going on a date with a boy. Jennifer may have had the body of a girl, but she had the mind of a boy. It was bound to get awkward.
She opened the binder, thinking that maybe this was a mistake. She grabbed a pencil and was about to cross out the last two wishes she made (thus canceling them), but the sudden sound of the phone ringing caused her to accidentally cross out one of the previous ones instead. The one that turned her into a girl.
Jon stared down at his mistake. What did that do? He was back to being a boy, but the last two wishes were still in effect. The ones that made him pretty enough for guys to notice him.
He dropped the binder and ran to a mirror. He was definitely a boy again, but he was wearing girl's clothes and make-up. It's like he was trying to look like a girl, even though he wasn't one.
"Jon! Your boyfriend is on the phone again!" he heard his mom yell from downstairs.
Boyfriend? Jon thought. I'm not gay am I? He shuddered at the thought.
