But it was obvious what she could do. Use the stone. She couldn't reverse her wishes, but at least she could make them more specific.
"Aardvark." She waited for the stone to appear in her hand, but nothing happened. "Aardvark," she repeated. But still nothing happened.
She then looked in the binder. All the wishes in the binder had been erased, except for the "aardvark" wish, which was crossed out, oddly. (Why was it crossed out, but not erased like the rest?) There was no way to get the stone. But at least she knew where it was: at home. But she'd have to wait until the school day was over to get it and use it.
So, for the moment, it looked as if she was stuck as Jeanie the cheerleader.
