Jon didn't know what to say to this boy. "I... I...."
"What happened, Jon?" he said. "You're not going to lose the stone. I made sure of that."
"It's not that..." said Jon. "I... I mean, this is all great, and you're the best boyfriend I could ever have, but I don't even know your name!"
"Jon? I'm Dan. You know that."
"No, I don't! Ask the stone!"
"Sure," said Dan. "I wish I knew what Jon was talking about."
Then he dropped the stone. "Jon? It can't be... I never thought when we met last year that you'd turn out to be a guy. But we never did meet last year at all--I just think we did. I don't believe it. You're not Karyn's twin. You're not even a girl. But you're so cute and sweet. How could I have..."
"You're not gay," said Jon. "It's all my fault, Dan. If it wasn't for those wishes you wouldn't even be involved in this."
"It's not that," said Dan. "I love you! And we've had such good times together. Or so I remembered. And you love me, even though it's just because I wished we could have fun. I know you want to stay with me and me with you. If you reverse this wish we won't even know each other. I won't remember that we ever knew each other!"
"But I'm not really like how you remember me," said Jon. "Just because you're my boyfriend doesn't change who I am. You may remember me wearing dresses or giggling over some chick flick but I'd never do anything like that."
"Or if you were the way I remember you, you'd be crying your heart out already. It's okay, Jon! I still love you just the way you are, even if you're not the way I remember you."
Jon put her arms around his shoulders and kissed him. "I'm glad," she said.
Then after the kiss, Dan picked up the stone (which needless to say hadn't gotten lost). "Maybe we need another wish. Don't worry, I don't want to change your mind in any way. Here's my idea..." He whispered something to her and she nodded. Then he then gave her the stone.
Then Jon made the wish, saying....
