"I have an idea." Karyn said. "What if we used the wishing rock to change you back?"
"I was thinking about that, but we have to be careful. My wish this morning wasn't supposed to make your wishes happen to me as well."
"Good point." Karyn agreed with Tiffany. She couldn't think of the girl in front of her as Jon.
The pair spent the next hour trying to come up with a fool proof wish that would allow Tiffany to become Jon once more.
"I am sorry Tiff." Karyn said as once again they found too many holes in the wish that had thought might work. "Not only is this my fault, but I kind of like you better as Tiffany than as Jon."
Tiffany looked at her friend.
"I didn't wish this on you and would never have done that. I did and still do like Jon. But we were only best friends, never romantically involved with each other. Right?"
Tiffany shook her head to agree.
"And there was good things about having a best friend who is a guy. You killed that spider for me last week and you have been great helping out with heavy jobs around here. But having a best girlfriend has even more advantages. We could go shopping together and I would be able to talk to you about stuff that I would never be able to talk to Jon about."
"Stuff?" Tiffany asked.
"Yes. Feelings for different guys, my period, and other girl stuff."
"I see what you mean." Tiffany said as she absent mindedly played with the wishing rock. Karyn was Jon's best friend and he had thought that everything was going really great with them. Now Karyn was telling her that while she liked Jon, she liked Tiffany better. She felt really bad about not being able to be there for Karyn. "I wish that when this is over that you can do that with me."
As the wishing rock granted Tiffany her wish the two girls wondered in near fear what that wish would produce.
