The stone glowed, granting the wish. But since all the wishes would be granted to the people within ten feet of the stone (and not the one touching the stone), her wish was granted to the two men who gave her the stone and the two men who accompanied her into the warehouse. And since all four of the men were looking at her, Mrs. Kavanaugh was the one that forgot about the stone.
She looked down at the object in her hand. What an odd-looking stone, she thought. I wonder where I got it from.
