"Goddamn, Fred," she said to herself, "you really screwed up this time. Took the first available body. What a stupid move. Teenage girl. No education, no job, no future... girl. Feh." She grumbled like the middle-aged man she once was.

"They're looking for you, you know," a mysterious stranger sat beside her. She looked on in shock.

"Excuse me?" she feigned ignorance, but could sense what was going on.

"They're looking for you, because they think you stole the medallion," the man said. He had short, curly, black hair, and a leathery face. She didn't recognize him.

"I know you?"

"Doctor..." the man grinned, "you don't recognize me? Didn't think so. I never figured anyone would notice if I disappeared. I was right, too, since they don't even suspect that I was the one who stole the Medallion of Zulo, not you."

"You stole it?!" Frederick whispter-yelled, then realized she'd blown her cover, "I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Who are you, anyway?"

"Nancy Kepler, RN," the man said, "it was an accident that I transformed into this, but since I'm here, I figured I might as well track you down."

"How did you know where to find me?"

"You once told me, you know what I've always wanted to do? just hop on a bus and go as far as I could get. I saw you at the station, and thought, hm, what's a little girl doing here, all alone? Except I'm not stupid."

"Well what do you want?"

"I want to start a new life, Frederick," Nancy leaned in and pulled something out of his jacket pocket, "and I have this."

It was, of course, the Medallion of Zulo.
