Princess Fina had accepted Sir Garrett’s request to see her before he left on the quest. A knock on the door produced a quick response to enter the room, and the sight he saw shocked him. Before him stood the beautiful blonde princess with her hair tied behind her head wearing a light suit of elven chainmail preparing to go out to do battle.
“What are you doing!?!” Sir Garrett sputtered.
Princess Fina smiled at his shock, “I am getting ready to head out with you. Father has been sending you on suicidal missions with no assistance, and I am not about to lose my fiancée when we are, so close to getting married because I was too afraid to help him with his troubles.”
“I have the training to handle the risks you don’t!” Sir Garrett explained.
“I have been training with the captain of the guard and with Arimas I have been learning the magical arts. I know I am not as good as you yet but I can be of great help to you. You can’t tell me an extra pair of eyes wouldn’t help you.”
“I was thinking of taking along my squire as back up.”
“Wonderful, I’ve always enjoyed his company and the extra hand will make lighter work for the two of us.”
“My choices are to make my squire unhappy, you unhappy or both. I guess I have no options other than taking the both of you with me. So, how shall we precede, my lovely lady?” Sir Garrett smiled weakly.
Princess Fina gave Sir Garrett a light kiss which caused him to blush, “That is why I love you, because you know how to treat a lady. I think we should . . .”
