Kimberly read the assignment paper. "For the rest of the week, it will be your job to balance your family's budget to make ends meet. Talk to your spouse (if you don't have one, I will assign one) and figure out how to stretch $500 to cover the share of the month's mortgage, food and clothes for the family (including your two children and dog), the share of the utilities, gas money, and other necessities. And don't forget the children's Christmas fund!"
Kimberly smiled -- not only was this good training for the day she eventually had a family, but she could have some real fun with Bear with this!
Kimberly intellectually remembered she'd been a boy named Jon, but she had a hard time remembering what it was like being a boy, and honestly, had no real desire to go back. She was itching -- in a couple of places -- to get done with class and get back to a little time with Bear.
She'd never been happier in her life.

Meanwhile, Karyn was wondering how Jon was holding up. She was anxious to get back in range of the wishing stone, so she could at least check up on him. She figured he must be absolutely miserable by now.
