"Hello?" Karyn said as she answered the phone. Her voice was a mix of frantic hope and trepidation.
"Karyn!" said the voice... well, voices. There were definitely two people on the line. "You better get over here. And bring my stone back!" It was the same two voices Karyn had heard the day before. One male, one female, yet in perfect unison, matching the cadence and tone of each syllable. But that tone was much different from the day before.
"I'm on my way, Jon!" She clicked the phone off, grabbed the stone, threw on a pair of shoes and ran out the door, not caring that she was still wearing her clothes from yesterday. She didn't care about much else at this point. Jon was back! Although, there were a couple of complications...
Still, Jon was Jon again, and that was all that mattered right now. Wasn't it?
