Karyn hopped into her car and drove over to the school as fast as her conscience would allow. She knew that the cheerleaders had practice today, and figured if she found Sarah, she'd be able to find Jon. She still had the stone, but wasn't ready to try another wish yet. She had already screwed up two wishes. She wasn't even entirely sure how her current wish was playing out.
As Karyn pulled into the parking lot, she saw the other cheerleaders making their way to their cars, some of them already driving off. She scanned for Sarah, but saw nothing.
Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she saw Biff's blue convertible pulling out of the parking lot. She turned to look, and saw Sarah in the passengers seat. Odd, she was sitting on someone's lap. Someone who was dressed identically to Sarah. With short brown hair.
"Jon!" Karyn screamed out the window. Jon and Sarah turned at the same time, then they both glared at Karyn. It was a look of contempt Karyn had seen from Sarah dozens of times, but never from Jon. The two of them rolled their eyes, then turned back and leaned lovingly into Biff. Before Karyn could say another word, the convertible squealed out of the parking lot.
With few other options, Karyn knew she had to follow.
