"It's Joseph..."
"Your friend?" asked Karyn.
"I wonder," said Jenna (formerly Jon). She got up in a hurry saying "I'm a girl! And I'm sure he thinks me attractive.
Jenna ran off... and Karyn waited, looking at the rock she left behind. She was uncertain about touching it again considering how badly that wish had been messed up, but finally picked up and said "I wish I can see what Jenna's doing tonight."
She concentrated and saw Jenna downstairs on the phone, saying "I gotta tell Karyn. We must be making her wait forever."
"Yeah, babe," said Joseph's voice. "See you then!"
Then Karyn saw in her mind an image of Jenna returning. Jenna stepped into the room and Karyn said "Let me guess. He asked you out and you said yes."
"No, Karyn, we had already been going out for a few weeks, but he did ask me to see a movie with him, that's all."
"Already going out? Jon... this is a mess. Come on,. let's, uh, play that video game you wanted to show me how to play."
"Why would a girl like me want to play a video game where you shoot people?"
"I don't know, Jon..."
"Jenna."
"I don't know, Jenna, let's study for the test tomorrow, or something."
"If I didn't know better I'd think you were trying to kill time."
"I am trying to kill time, Jenna! The wish for you to think like Sarah only lasts an hour, but the wish to be a girl doesn't have a time limit. I want you to change back so we can do something about this... Come on, Jenna. What's the capital of Rome?"
"Rome doesn't have a capital, it is a capital."
"Right. Okay, what's the quadratic formula?"
"That test isn't until Thursday."
"Stop making things difficult, Jon!"
"Jenna."
Suddenly, Jenna had a look of horror on her face. Karyn looked at her watch and an hour had passed.
"You're right," said Jenna. "That wish is over. I'm still a girl... what do I do?"
