Karyn drove to the mall, while Jon rode along with a vapid grin on his face that mimicked Jessica Simpson's a little to well. As they approached the mall, Jon began to rummage around in the glove compartment.
"What are you doing, Jessica?" Karyn asked.
"Well, duh," he responded, "I need some sunglasses. Do you think I want people to recognize me in public, especially with what I'm wearing? Sorry girl, but I didn't get to be one of People's 50 most beautiful women by wearing baggy blue jeans." After fishing around some more, he found a pair of rounded, feminine sunglasses. "Not my $500 Guccis, but they'll do.
As they pulled into the mall parking lot, Jon immediately got out and left Karyn in his dust. Thinking about Jon's last "Jessica" statement, she realized that giving him a millionaire pop star's mind probably wouldn't be to great for his bank account, so she carefully thought out another wish. "I wish that as long as Jon is in his current state, he has in his wallet a credit card with no spending limit." She then ran into the mall, hoping to catch up with Jon. She spent the better part of 40 minutes looking for him, until she finally spotted a strange sight: a young man walking out of Lord & Taylor wearing pink capri pants, a sleeveless blouse, and high heels while carrying an impressive amount of bags from places all around the mall.
"Oh, hey," Jon said as he recognized Karyn, "You're that girl from before, aren't you? I don't think I caught your name."
"Um, I'm Karyn,"
"Cute name, Karyn," Jon bubbled, "Look, something weird is going on. I wasn't really surprised when nobody recognized me the way I was dressed before, but now I'm getting some really strange looks from people."
Karyn noticed this too, and felt a bit awkward standing around this new crossdresser in public. She quietly made another wish, "I wish that everyone else, except myself, would think that Jon really is Jessica Simpson."
"What was that you said?" Jon asked, but before Karyn could answer there were screams from all around them.
"Jessica! Jessica!" Fans yelled as they ran for Jon, scrabbling for autographs. Jon smiled at the sudden recognition, but noticed that the crowd was growing, and he was starting to get frightened.
