Suddenly, the door opened and a boy they knew (Danny Foster, a fellow jock) walked in. "Steve, there you are. What are you and Jeff and Jason doing in here?" he asked. "Come on, the boys are waiting," he said, pulling Steve out of the room with him. Jeff and Jason were frozen in shock. Danny was dressed like a girl too! He was even wearing make-up and jewelry! But like Steve and his two friends, Danny's clothes were tailored to fit his masculine body.
"Hold on," Steve said, stopping in the middle of the hallway, yanking his hand away from Danny's.
"What?" Danny asked, puzzled by Steve's behavior.
"What is going on? Why are you dressed like that?" he asked.
Danny continued to look confused. "What do you mean?" he asked, looking down at his lavender sleeveless blouse, miniskirt, and 3-inch heels. There was nothing out of the ordinary. "What's wrong with what I'm wearing?"
Steve just stared at him, stunned. "Seriously? You're wearing girls' clothes."
"What are you talking about? These are boys' clothes."
Suddenly, Steve felt someone elbow him in the side. He turned and saw that it was Jeff. "What?"
"Look, man," he said, nodding at something.
Steve followed his gaze and stared. Every guy in the hall was dressed like a girl! And every girl was dressed like a guy! Even the teachers' clothes were changed. And they all acted like nothing was wrong! The girls were still female, but they were acting like guys, and the guys were still male, but they were acting like girls. It was like a gender role swap or something. It was really bizarre.
"Steve, what's all this about?" Danny asked.
He turned back towards him. Should he tell him? Or maybe he should keep it to himself. After all, he might think he's crazy or something. He didn't even know how all this even happened in the first place. The stone he had been holding earlier was back on the floor, totally forgotten. Frankly, finding himself in Jenni's clothes was more distressing to him than some stupid rock. Little did he know that it was the rock that had changed things. If only he had kept it, maybe he could find a way to get himself out of this situation. But as it was, he was stuck in this new messed up reality.
"Well?" Danny asked, impatiently wanting an explanation for Steve's odd behavior.
