Suddenly, the door opened and a girl they knew (Amber Levine, a cheerleader) walked in. "Jenni, there you are. What are you and Jessica and Melissa doing in here?" she asked. "Come on, the girls are waiting," she said, pulling Steve out of the room with her. Jeff and Jason were hesitant to follow, but did anyway. After all, it seemed that Amber didn't know who they actually were. Though maybe that was worse, right?
"Hold on," Steve said, stopping in the middle of the hallway, yanking his hand away from Amber's.
"What?" Amber asked, puzzled by Steve's behavior.
"Are you saying that I'm Jenni Jacobs?" he asked.
She looked oddly at him for a moment. "Uh, yeah. Who else would you be?"
He turned and looked down the hall, then pointed at Jenni, who was still goofing off with Jessica and Melissa. "So who's that?" he asked.
"Steve Zimmer," she said. "What's all this about?"
Should he tell her? Or maybe he should keep it to himself. After all, she might think he's crazy. He didn't even know how all this even happened in the first place. The stone he had been holding earlier was back on the floor, totally forgotten. Frankly, finding himself in Jenni's clothes was more distressing to him than some stupid rock. Little did he know that it was the rock that had changed things. If only he had kept it, maybe he could find a way to get himself out of this situation. But as it was, he was stuck basically having Jenni's life.
"Well?" Amber asked, getting impatient.
