"Mommy, it's time for ballet practice," Jeri whined.
"Okay, okay. But ... you don't have practice today," Kyle said.
"Of course not, Mommy. I have practice tomorrow." Jeri looked down at her clothes, which were regular little girl's clothes. "See, I'm not wearing my ballet outfit," she said, showing Kyle proof that she didn't have practice.
"I see that," Kyle said. "But your friends are still coming over to play, right?"
"They should be here any minute!" Jeri said, excitedly, sprinting out of the room and to the front door.
Kyle found her in the foyer, waiting expectantly for her friends, who didn't exist. Kyle wondered if he should wish them up, at least temporarily. Or maybe he could have a little fun with some other people he knew and change their bodies the way he changed Jon's.
