Karyn gasped. She looked again at her body; how her arms and legs had been switched, so that her legs grew out of her shoulders and her arms out of her hips. She walked towards Jon on her hands, like part of her remembered doing for all of her life. "You did put a time limit on this, right?" she asked.
"I made it until I wish otherwise," said Jon. "So I can end this whenever I want."
Karyn looked in the mirror and flexed her legs. It all made so much sense now. Doctors had called her a medical miracle. But she hadn't had an easy childhood. The other kids at school teased her, particularly that bitch Sarah McMillan. It was hard for her to do things. She was used to walking on her hands, but manipulating objects was difficult for her. Using her hands was a pain, unless she was sitting down. Even then it was awkward due to their position. Using her legs was effectively impossible unless the object could be hung or draped over her feet. And finding clothes... Don't get me started about clothes, she thought. Yet this was the life she had known, until Jon gave her her real memories back.
"So you can end this whenever, right?" she said.
"Yep," said Jon. "I specifically put in that it would last until I wished otherwise."
"In that case," Karyn said, tapping her chin with her toe. "In that case..."
